Manfred Kopper

Manfred is currently the Environmental Coordinator at "Asociación Empresarial para el Desarrollo" where he has designed and developed the Environmental Strategy for the Costa Rican business sector known as "Eco Eficiencia Empresarial", with more than 50 national and multinational companies participating. Manfred has coordinated strategic alliances between the private and public sector to strengthen Costa Rica's goal of becoming carbon neutral in 2021 -- a project selected by Global Pact as one of the most important environmental projects for Latin America in Rio+20. This initiative is expected to be reproduced in Honduras, Panama, El Salvador and Nicaragua in 2013.

In 2012 Manfred was selected by “El Financiero” Newspaper in their “40 under 40 list”.

He was the founder and General Manager at "Productos KyC, S.A.", an export agribusiness company oriented towards sustainable development. The company was awarded a "Most Innovative Product" badge by "El Financiero" Newspaper in 2009 and was nominated as a "Most Innovative Company" by the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce in that same year.

Manfred has also lead presentations and workshops on sustainable agribusiness, entrepreneurship and sustainability targeted to students from: UCLA Anderson School of Management (MBA 10”), Cranfield University (MBA 09”,10”), University of Illinois (MBA 09”), INCAE Business School (12"), Universidad EARTH (1°, 2°, 3° y 4° year) y Universidad La Salle (Agribusiness) and for conferences in El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua and Honduras.

An alumnus from the EARTH University (07") where he obtained a degree in agribusiness and sustainability, he is currently a 2013 MBA candidate from the Executive Program at INCAE Business School.
