Emmanuel "Manu" Peni is from Korogu on the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea. After years of working in Port Moresby, he returned home to work with his people to defend the Sepik River system from the threat of devastation posed by a giant mining project proposed for the headwaters of the Sepik. He also support leaders advocating for justice and human rights in Papua New Guinea.
