Marc Gobe is President, CEO and Executive Creative Director of the Desgrippes Gobe Group New York, one of the world's top ten brand image creation firms.

He is also the author of Emotional Branding-The New Paradigm for Connecting Brands to People (Allworth Press, 2001). Emotional Branding is a marketing and business bestseller, and is currently in its 3rd reprint. Gobe presently is responsible for Coca-Cola's new worldwide identity and packaging.

From offices in New York, Paris, Brussels, Tokyo, and Seoul, an integrated approach to brand building through disciplines such as product design, graphic design and architecture allows the firm to best meet the needs of its clients globally and locally. Desgrippes Gobe's success results from a combination of an innovative approach to consumer research and the development of tools such as BrandSense and BrandFocus that allow clients to understand purchasing behaviors. Trained as a graphic designer and graduate from the Ecole Professionnelle de Design Industriel in Paris, Gobe's broad experience in packaging, structural design and architecture has attracted a multifaceted mix of apparel, beauty, and consumer brand corporations. Gobe created the concept of "total presence" in branding when the business was still highly specialized and created brand design strategies that engage consumers emotionally at different points of the brand experience. Clients include Air France, Estee Lauder, AOL, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, Versace, Gillette, The Limited Inc, Brooks Brothers, Reebok, Gatorade, Sears, Starbucks, and IBM among others.

Gobe has received numerous design awards from such publications and institutions as ID magazine, Interiors, Graphis, VM+SD, The Brand Design Association, The Art Directors Club, and Clio. He was also selected as a finalist in the 1998 Entrepreneur of the Year competition. He has been profiled in and has written articles for Chief Executive Officer, Leaders, Women's Wear Daily, DNR, Harper's Bazaar, The Economist and Mirabella, among others. Gobe serves on the board of the Brand Design Association and is a member of the AIGA, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, The Art Directors Club, and the Fragrance Foundation. He has taught at the Ecole Superieure de Design in Paris and regularly speaks at conferences worldwide on marketing and design, including Columbia Business School, The AIGA Brandesign Conference, AOL, General Mills, 3M, DNR Menswear CEO Summit, Metropolis Wonderbrands Conference and the Strategic Research Institute among others.
