Stand-Up Comedian, Actor & Writer on "Saturday Night Live"

Marcello Hernandez is a stand-up comedian and actor of Cuban and Dominican descent. He joined the cast of the NBC sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live" as a featured player before the start of the show's 48th season in 2022, making him the first cast member from Generation Z to join the show. The same year, he was selected as a Just For Laughs New Face of Comedy.

A stand-up comedian since the age of 18, Hernandez has had the opportunity to open for headliners such as Jo Koy, Dave Chappelle, Tim Dillon, Mark Viera, and Gilbert Gottfried. He has also appeared on Telemundo’s "Acceso Total," NBC’s "6 in the Mix," and various other TV shows and movies. Hernandez is known for his comedy and short-form pieces on social media channels like TikTok. Previously, Hernandez was a host and creative director for @onlyindade on TikTok, a weekly review show that celebrates his Miami hometown and has amassed over one million followers.

Hernandez grew up in Miami, Florida, and attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He later graduated from John Carroll University in 2019 with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Communication. Following graduation, he moved to New York City to further pursue his stand-up career.
