Stand-Up Comedian, Musician & Writer

Marcia Belsky is a New York City based stand-up comedian, musician and writer. Her hit song “100 Tampons” premiered on Comedy Central digital April 2020 and has over 1 million shares on TikTok.

In 2014, she was a semifinalist in the NBC Stand Up competition. She is the lead singer of the comedy duo Free the Mind, whose song All Older White Men Should Die (But Not My Dad) was called a “hilarious, feminist anthem” by Elite Daily. Her 2016 project The Headless Women of Hollywood, which explores the objectification of women on film and television posters, was featured on the BBC and NPR, and written up by USA Today, Buzzfeed, E!News, AV Club and more. Her writing has been featured in the New York Times, The Forward, Reductress, and Brightest Young Things.

She co-hosted a podcast with comedian Rae Sanni called Misandry with Marcia and Rae," and has been a guest on NPR’s "Marketplace," "Radiolab," "Las Culturistas," "Conversations With People Who Hate Me," and more.

She has co-written two full length musical parodies with Melissa Stokoski, Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical, which was performed around the Northeast including at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and Fiddler on the Rooftop Bar.
