Using his extensive experience in product development and background in industry, Marcus leads a diverse team of engineers, business development specialists, advisors, and industry partners at CalWave, a company that provides a solution to harness the renewable power of ocean waves to produce electricity and freshwater. He holds an M.Sc. in technology management from TU Munich and will be completing his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering while at Cyclotron Road.

In 2016 he made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the energy category.
