Marcus Shingles has decades of experience running and working with leading organizations and prominent startups focused on innovation, specifically related to new business models, organizational and cultural evolution, digital transformation, and data and analytics. He has led several programs tailored for cross-functional executive teams to understand and capitalize on emerging technologies, including AI, robotics, 3D printing, biotech, nanotech, blockchain, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Shingles currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer and Managing Executive Director of the Smart City and Urban Innovation division at MultiCORE International Group. He is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Exponential Destiny, an organization dedicated to mentoring young men and women from underserved communities, providing training in entrepreneurship and emerging technologies, as well as employing in professional careers.

He previously served as the CEO of the XPRIZE Foundation, a nonprofit and the global leader in prize and crowdsourcing models for innovation and technology breakthroughs used to solve humanity's grandest challenges. Shingles was also Expert Vice President in the Bain Innovation Exchange, based in San Francisco.

He also served as a partner for another top consulting firm, where he led the organization's technology and innovation practice. He also founded and led his own business and IT strategy consulting firm and led digital transformation for sales and marketing at The Kellogg Company.

His expertise in innovation and technology is often featured on leading broadcasts and publications, including NBC’s The Today Show, CNBC's Squawk Box, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Forbes, and Wired magazine. He sits on multiple boards, including the non-profit Recode, Stanford University School of Engineering's Disruptive Technology and Digital Cities program, and the World Economic Forum's Expert Network among others.
