Understanding the inner workings of universities and their management structures has helped foresight practitioner Maree Conway to consult on the future of universities, among other topics. A life-changing moment for Maree was when she was asked in 1999 to integrate foresight approaches into the planning framework of Swinburne University of Technology. This role inspired her passion for futures work, and she hasn't looked back.

With qualifications in Strategic Foresight, Education Management, Media Studies and History, including a PhD on the future university in progress, Maree is well positioned as a foresight researcher. She is the founder of Thinking Futures, an organization that assists professionals, non-profits, and people in education and government to plan for the future. Changing how clients think, moving them beyond the status quo, and immersing them in meaningful and adaptable strategies are key aspects of Maree's craft.
