Margot Olshan

Everyday Food, PBS

Margot described her entry into the world of the culinary arts as "a fish to water." A mother of two who decided to go back to work after a divorce, Margot sought out a career in cooking by attending Peter Kump's Institute of Culinary Education. As part of her education, she held an externship at Mario Batali's Po Restaurant in New York City, and subsequently worked at Elms Restaurant and Tavern in Ridgefield, CT. Six years ago, Margot came to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, delighting the palates of the Martha Stewart Living television staff as Commissary Chef at the company's Westport, CT television studios. Margot is teaming up with fellow Everyday Food cook John Barricelli to open a bakery, SoNo Baking Company and Café in South Norwalk, CT.

Margot, who has been inducted into the Institute of Culinary Education’s Hall of Achievement, is now preparing to open her latest business, Café Margot, in Stamford, CT in 2007.
