Maria Markstedter is a respected security researcher specializing in processor security, reverse engineering, and exploitation of Arm-based devices, and more recently, the emerging security challenges posed by AI applications. This year, she delivered the keynote address at the Black Hat USA conference, discussing how to navigate the cybersecurity landscape in the AI era.

Markstedter gained recognition as Forbes Person of the Year in Cybersecurity in 2020 and was featured in Forbes 30 under 30 in Tech in 2018. Her educational background in Enterprise Security and Cryptography paved the way for her diverse career in cybersecurity, covering areas such as threat intelligence, penetration testing, and vulnerability research. She was the Chief Product Officer at Corellium, an Arm virtualization startup, and continues to serve as a member of conference review boards and cybersecurity committees for Fortune 500 companies.
