Environmental economist specializing in environmental valuation techniques and fiscal policy. Currently working in the Ministry of Finance of the Dominican Republic serving dual roles as an Economic Analyst and Head of the Unit for Monitoring and Evaluating Tax Incentives. Professional interests oriented towards the implementation of programs for development, taking into consideration the efficient management of environmental resources.

Conducted research reanalyzing the carbon leakage hypothesis by accounting for spatial effects present in emissions data, and assessing the eco-tourism viability in the province of Bonao. Collaborated in the preparation of the Financial Facility for Disaster Risk Management in the Dominican Republic; and in the development of the methodology used to estimate the social benefits of private investments and the profitability of tax exemptions.

Additionally, volunteers as an Independent Consultant in One Ahead Consulting aiding companies develop and implement corporate social responsibility strategies under the United Nations Global Compact framework; as a University Teacher, teaching courses in environmental and natural resource economics and financial disaster risk management; creating environmental awareness via social media; and is a member of Vida Azul Foundation, known for organizing Ocean Conservancy’s Coastal Cleanup Day.
