As Burning Man Project’s first CEO, Marian Goodell leads the nonprofit’s efforts to extend the Burning Man ethos globally. In pursuit of a more creative and connected world, Burning Man Project provides inspiration, education, grants, and support to a global ecosystem of community leaders, makers, artists, and social entrepreneurs. Marian oversees the organization’s 120+ year-round employees and $45 million annual operating budget, and provides strategic direction and leadership to a network of nearly 300 Burning Man ambassadors in 44 US States and 36 countries. A founding board member of the Black Rock Arts Foundation and Black Rock Solar, Marian first attended Burning Man in 1995 and has held leadership roles since the organization was created in 1997.
