Since 2000, Maribel has been pleasing connesiurs with her unique collection of rare and delicate chocolates and confections at her retail boutique in Soho, New York. Her passion for chocolate is rooted in her upbringing in the cocoa fields of Honduras and is inspired by the exotic tropical fruits and flavors that delighted her as a child. A skilled chef, educated as a designer, Maribel fuses both of these passions together in her creations.

Maribel Lieberman has been a food entrepreneur since she made and sold candies as an 8-year-old in her Honduras neighborhood. From that enterprising beginning, Lieberman moved to New York City to study at Parsons School of Design. She went on to create her own catering company and MarieBelle Fine Treats and Chocolates, the flagship store of her luxury chocolate empire, MarieBelle New York. Lieberman is guided by the lessons her family taught her about passion, perseverance, and wonderful food. The company’s renowned chocolate brand is now sold in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Shopping for chocolates and sweets at MarieBelle in Soho is a unique pleasure.
