Chronically Fabulous shares her chronic illness journey with readers, while also offering tips and advice on thriving and living out your purpose despite a diagnosis. Today, she speaks on various health, women's health rights, and health advocacy topics and is the founder of the NY nonprofit and social community, LupusChick.com that reaches 1M+ people per month. Her story of hope is highlighted as the 35th chapter of Lady Gaga's recent anthology, CHANNEL KINDNESS. The nonprofit focuses on education and awareness, and its annual events include awarding college stipends to men and women with lupus. LupusChick awarded its 18th scholarship in 2023.

She is also an artist who recently moved to the Carolinas, loves to travel, and has a rescue dog who has outlived Dr's expectations by 12 years. In her free time, Marisa loves to cook, do anything that makes her laugh, road trip with friends, tend to her orchids, and could most likely win an award for her napping abilities.
