Mr. DiCamillo is Director of The Field Poll, California's oldest and most respected non-partisan public opinion poll. He is a recognized authority on opinion trends in California and is a frequent speaker on voter opinions and behavior in public forums.

As Director of The Field Poll, California’s leading media-sponsored public opinion poll, Mr. DiCamillo directs four to eight statewide surveys each year and has published over 1,000 separate poll reports. The studies cover major public policy issues facing the state, job ratings of state and federal elected officials, voter support for candidates vying for major state and federal offices, as well as opinion formation and voter preferences of all major statewide ballot propositions. Mr. DiCamillo is considered as one of California’s leading pollsters, is a featured speaker in a variety of venues, and is regularly quoted in local, state, national and international media reports about California public opinion.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND Mr. DiCamillo has over 30 years of professional experience in designing and implementing of large-scale quantitative surveys, with particular emphasis on public opinion surveys conducted within the state of California. He has specific professional interests and expertise in the areas of questionnaire development, sampling, surveying ethnically diverse populations, and analyzing and interpreting public policy research findings in California for clients in the public and private sectors.

Throughout his career, Mr. DiCamillo has directed hundreds of surveys for state and local government agencies, academic institutions, foundations, not-for-profit organizations, the news media and others. The topics run the gamut and include taxes and government spending, health care, energy, the environment, telecommunications, education, child care, transportation, immigration, water policy, disaster preparedness, and the criminal justice system.

PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP AND HONORS Mr. DiCamillo has held prominent posts in leading professional research associations in California, and has served as President of the Pacific Chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and President of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Mr. DiCamillo was honored in 2010 when The Field Poll was named the nation’s most accurate public poll in election polling spanning the previous decade by The New York Times’ Nate Silver in his influential FiveThirtyEight.com column and web site, when compared to over 250 different state and national polling organizations.

Masters in Business Administration, with public policy emphasis, Johnson School of Business, Cornell University.
