As Vice President, Finance and Business Administration, Evans directs all aspects of the financial management of the U.S. operations of Siemens Building Technologies Division, a multi-billion dollar business of Siemens Infrastructure and Cities. Prior to his current position, Evans served from 2009 to 2011 as VP Finance and Business Administration for Siemens Global Transportation Solutions in Berlin. From 2003 to 2009, Evans was CFO of Siemens Mobility, U.S. where he returned the company to profitability through a benchmark Financial Excellence Program and improved operational processes and best practices. Throughout his tenure, Evans has been instrumental in managing some of the largest contracts in Siemens history, including a $500 million deal to supply trains for Puerto Rico’s Tren Urbano and $125 million contract to supply the Houston Metro with advanced low-floor modular light rail cars. Evans joined Siemens in 1989 where his financial systems and business development acumen lead to positions of increasing responsibility, including large project controlling and business unit financial management, as well as Siemens Transportation Systems Division Controller from 2002-2003. Prior to Siemens, Evans held various positions in contract management and business administration in software, military defense and transportations industries. Evans earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Florida State University in 1979 and holds a black belt in mixed martial arts. He and his wife Teresa reside in Mundelein, IL.
