Mark Foster is Senior Vice President, IBM Global Business Services, responsible for the strategy, client value and business performance of IBM’s consulting, systems integration, digital agency, business process outsourcing and application management services businesses across all industries. GBS's 125,000 consultants partner with leading clients around the world to set digital strategy, reinvent business processes with AI and modernize core applications and systems on the cloud.

Retired in 2011 as Group Chief Executive Global Markets and Management Consulting after 27 years at Accenture. In this role led the global management consulting practice of 15,000 and oversaw industry programs and major investments across consulting, technology and outsourcing. Previously Group Chief Executive Products Industries leading Accenture’s management consulting practices in the Retail, Consumer, Health, Transport and Industrial sectors. Member of the Executive Leadership Team; Chair of Global Markets Council; Leader of Diamond Client Council, Accenture engagement with the World Economic Forum and Accenture Development Partnerships. Chaired the WEF Global Health Initiative Against AIDS, TB and Malaria and Global Health Advisory Board, Vice Chaired the Mayor of Seoul's International Business Advisory Council.

In 2011-2015 served the UK Government as founding Commissioner for the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI), overseeing the UK’s £11n aid spend globally. Served as Independent Non Executive Director on the business boards of Heidrick & Struggles, Fidessa, Computer Sciences Corporation, Alexander Mann Solutions and Atento. In the non-profit sector Chaired the International Business Leaders Forum and Peaslake Schools Trust, and served as Board Member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Cranleigh School. Lives in Old Greenwich, CT with wife Sandy and sons Alex and Matt. Hobbies include travel, photography, history, 7-a-side football, jogging, theatre and blogging.
