Mark Owen founded Puralytics in 2007 to develop water purification products based on LED-activated nanotechnology, and is a primary inventor of the company’s technology. Puralytics’ purification process has been selected for research grants by the US Army, the National Science Foundation, and the Nanoscience and Materials Institute. Awards to Puralytics include the National Grand Prize in the Cleantech Open, and Water Investment Idol by the Global Water Intelligence. Puralytics was recently named a Global Cleantech Top 100 company. Prior to founding Puralytics, Owen was the founding CEO of Phoseon Technology, the world leader in UV LED photo-curing systems to the inks, coatings, and adhesives industry.
