He is also the president of Punk Branding, where he develops brand and marketing strategies to help businesses grow. His clients include global brands, startups and agencies, where he works closely with founders and key stakeholders to develop strategies that get results.

His book, "Punk Marketing," is about the shift in power from corporation to consumer and my talk on the subject explores why the relationship between brand and consumer has changed, how it has changed and what marketers can do about. Full of fun examples this lively talk tailored to suit different audiences covers the Punk Marketing Manifesto and leaves the audience with clear direction on how to engage with consumers in the face of technological change.

"Business Playground," coauthored with musician Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics fame) is about the need for creativity in business and is an inspirational toolbox for entrepreneurs, leaders of international corporations, and everyone in between. The book has a foreword written by Sir Richard Branson and includes interviews with Mick Jagger, Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) and Evan Williams (co-founder of Twitter). The talk uses real life examples and the science of creativity as a context for a host of techniques and exercises that will bring out the creative potential of the audience members. They are left with very specific ways they can improve creativity and innovation everyday in their business lives.

Simmons has spoken at numerous events and conferences in the past 3 years in the US and overseas, including Mexico, Canada, Turkey and Germany, and his two books, "Punk Marketing" and "Business Playground," can be combined into one single talk that covers all of the major points covered within the individual themes.
