Co-Founder of Guaana, A Hackathon & Ideation Platform; Helped Launch The Global Hack In Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Marko Russiver is the co-founder of Guaana, a hackathon and ideation platform. Prior to founding Guanna, Russiver worked for more than a decade as a creative director, art director, and designer.

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Russiver helped launch The Global Hack, an online hackathon designed to share and rapidly develop ideas for urgently needed solutions and build post-pandemic resilience. Russiver deeply believes that open sharing of knowledge is a core driver shaping the future of humanity and that design can be leveraged to help solve the world’s greatest challenges.

Russiver was nominated for the MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 Europe 2018 Awards and was nominated for the honor of Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Swedish Business Awards. Russiver was profiled in Inc Arabia Magazine following Guaana’s participation in the Dubai Future Accelerator. Russiver is also part of a European Commission Next Generation Internet roundtable.
