As Chief Economist, Mr Schomer is responsible for providing economic forecasts, analysis and commentary for all groups of PineBridge Investments. In addition to being a member of various strategy committees, he is also responsible for coordinating the firm’s interest rate and currency strategies. Mr. Schomer transferred to the U.S. in 2002 from the firm’s London office, where between 1996 and 2001 he also managed various fixed income portfolios. Prior to joining PineBridge Investments in 1996, he was a Fixed Income Analyst at Commerzbank in Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Schomer holds degrees in Economics from the University of Bonn in Germany and the University of East Anglia, in the UK. He also studied at the London School of Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
