Marlane Barnes is a native of Portland, Maine and was raised in Fort Smith, Arkanas.

She was first introduced to acting at the age of 4 in regional shoe commercials -- and the shoe fit! She earned a Bachelor's in English Literature at the University of Arkansas, while acting in her spare time. That turned into a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin, where she continued to do film, theatre, and musical theatre.

She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2010 and after three months in Hollywood, debuted on iCarly as Tina. One month later she was cast in her breakout role as Maggie of the Irish Coven in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2."

Marlane also volunteers in the animal rescue community through fostering, volunteering for Best Friends Animal Society and acting as a national spokesperson for the spay/neuter organization SpayFirst!
