Marlene LeFever is Vice President of Educational Development (David C. Cook Publishing Company), Her Christian education textbooks, Learning Styles and Creative Teaching Methods, received Awards of Merit from the Evangelical Christian Publisher's Association. Both books have been published in Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese and Spanish, and both were included in the 2006 list of the most used Christian education textbooks. Learning Styles, also published in Arabic, reached the European Christian Booksellers bestseller list. In 2007, the Russian translation of Creative Teaching Methods was released. Past president of the Evangelical Press Association, she has written for many Christian periodicals. She serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Christianity Today's Leadership Journal. LeFever has taught as adjunct faculty at North American Baptist Seminary, Tyndale (Canada) College & Seminary, Princeton Seminary, Talbot Theological Seminary, Denver Seminary, Canadian Bible College, and delivered doctoral lectures at the Asia Graduate School of Theology, Philippines. She was awarded the Distinguished Educator Award for 2006/07 from the North American Professors of Christian Education and was named one of the six leading women in Christian education in the latter 20th Century by the Christian Education Journal. She has directed the International Christian Publishing Institute and taught workshops for publishers in Brazil and India. In 2006/07 LeFever directed the David C. Cook Landmark Study in Christian Education. She serves on the board of the Center for Student Missions, an organization that gives teens a cross-cultural experience in their own country as they work with social and Christian organization in the intercity. Each year LeFever speaks to approximately 15,000 Christian education volunteers. A frequent speaker at Sunday school conventions, writers' conferences, professional organizational meetings and churches, she has done cross-cultural Christian education in Mexico City and Manila, and has led Christian education seminars in the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Brazil, Guatemala, Ireland, and Scotland.
