U.S. Managing Editor, Financial Times

Martin Dickson oversees the North American print and online editions of the Financial Times. He has been with the publication since 1976, starting out as Africa editor covering African and diplomatic affairs. He has since held several senior positions on both the writing and editing sides of the paper. In 2002, Dickson created the Lombard column of business comment and wrote the column daily for four years. The column won him the honors Business Journalist of the Year and Best Opinion Writer of the Year in the 2005 Business Journalist of the Year Awards. In 2006, he won a prestigious Wincott Foundation award as Senior Financial Journalist of the Year.
