Award-Winning English Actor, Best Known for the UK's "The Office," "Sherlock", "Fargo", and "The Hobbit" Film Trilogy

Martin Freeman is an acclaimed English actor, recognized for his powerful performances in both film and television. Freeman's repertoire includes roles such as Tim Canterbury in "The Office", Dr. John Watson in "Sherlock", Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit" film trilogy and Everett K. Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Freeman has been honored with multiple awards including two Emmy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Freeman has also been nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Freeman's strong performances have seen him appear in all three films of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's comedic "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy and his commanding presence in the dark comedy-crime drama series "Fargo" earned him additional nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Critics' Choice Television Award.

Freeman's role in the television film "The Eichmann Show" saw Freeman portray producer Milton Fruchtman, a character based on the real-life TV director Leo Hurwitz who filmed the 1961 trial of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann. Freeman has also utilized his voice acting skills, voicing characters in episodes of "Robot Chicken" and "DuckTales". From 2016 to 2017, he played Phil Rask in the TV series "StartUp", and in 2019 took on the role of Det. Supt. Steve Fulcher in the TV series "A Confession".

Freeman's contributions to the field of acting were recognized by University College Dublin's Literary & Historical Society, where he was presented with a fellowship bearing his name. In addition to acting, Freeman created, and served as an executive producer for the FX/Sky One comedy series "Breeders". Freeman's recent public appearances include roles in "Captain America: Civil War," "Cargo," and "Miller's Girl."
