Marvin Odum is president of Shell Oil Company and upstream director of Royal Dutch Shell’s subsidiary companies in the Americas. With Shell since 1982, he directs a broad portfolio, from traditional oil and gas development to emerging technologies. Odum is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, serves on the boards of the Business Roundtable and American Petroleum Institute, and is an executive committee member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He also serves on the Harvard Kennedy School Dean’s Council and the advisory board of the University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering, among others.
