Mary L. Wolf-Francis

Economic Development Specialist

Her enthusiasm for education is felt by all who have seen her light up a stage, an auditorium, a classroom, or any venue where her five-foot frame emanates a powerful persona. Students work harder, parents engage more effectively, teachers reach out and businesses benefit from her endless efforts to improve education for all students.

Mary's teaching experience includes regular and gifted students grades one through eight and is currently teaching education courses at the community college.  With Masters degrees in Educational Leadership and Organizational Management, she launched Promoting Educational Partnerships Consulting, Inc to provide expertise and resources for parents, educators, businesses and community organizations around education partnerships and parent involvement in education.

Far beyond the obvious need for parents to ensure their children's homework is completed, Mary provides teachers and parents with the tools and strategies for partnering in the process of ensuring children receive a quality education preschool through college. Drawing on her professional expertise, and her experience as a mother of three teenagers, she has developed, delivered and published countless workshops, presentations, and written materials targeted to educators and parents around the benefits of working as a team, including tools and strategies never taught in any teacher education program.

Mary has also spent over a decade working with businesses, community organizations and school districts on local, state, and national initiatives such as School-To-Work and most recently as the Arizona State Director for the State Scholars Initiative out of the US Department of Education.  For two decades she has tirelessly built sustained partnerships around raising expectations for all students and connecting quality programs to intended audiences.
