Actress, Author, and Philanthropist

Masiela Lusha began her life as a child refugee. Through her tenacity and restless passion, Masiela grew into a globally recognized actress, humanitarian, mother, wife, author and producer. While best-known for her lead portrayal as Carmen Lopez on the globally syndicated ABC/Warner Bros. series, ""George Lopez,"" Masiela appeared in over 30 film and television projects throughout her two decade career. She starred in Sony Picture's Blood the Last Vampire, and SyFy's Sharknado franchise. As a voice-over artist, Masiela portrayed Nina on the PBS' series, Clifford's Puppy Days. Notably, she also appeared on NBC's Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and TNT's Anger Management.

In 2010, Masiela was appointed ambassador of Prince Harry's charity, Sentebale. In 2014, she appeared as World Assembly of Youth's goodwill ambassador. Masiela is currently an advocate for UN Women.

As an author, Masiela published three books of poetry, Inner Thoughts, Drinking the Moon, and The Living Air. She also authored two novels, The Journals of Olympia Pole and The Besa. Exploring other genres, Masiela wrote a children's book, Boopity Boop Writes Her First Poem. As a tribute to her Albanian heritage, Masiela translated poems and prayers by Mother Teresa.
