Matt Biondi is recognized as one of the fastest human beings in the water and, with eleven Olympic medals, is tied with Mark Spitz as the most decorated US Olympian in history. His competitive career, which spanned three Olympiads, garnered him not only his eleven medals, but countless world and U.S. records.

His illustrious career began at the University of California at Berkley where he shattered records in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle events, as well as winning NCAA championships with his water polo team. Now retired from swimming, the dedication and devotion that Matt has shown while competing, has become apparent in his love for marine mammals.
