Matt Kenseth is an American professional stock car racing driver. He drives the No. 20 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full-time as well as the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on a part-time basis.
Matt Kenseth’s victory in the 2012 Daytona 500 placed the driver into an elite group of only nine drivers in the history of NASCAR who have won the famed race more than once. With his first Daytona 500 win in 2009, the Cambridge, Wisconsin, native became one of only five drivers in the sport’s history to win a Cup Championship, the Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award and the Daytona 500.
During his 15-year Sprint Cup career Matt Kenseth has qualified for the Chase for the Cup in seven of its eight seasons, and he boasts an International Race of Champions (IROC) title from 2004. Kenseth has visited victory lane in the Cup series on 24 occasions, scored 126 top-five finishes, 228 top-10 finishes, eight poles, and took home the 2003 Sprint Cup Championship to become Roush Fenway Racing’s first Cup series champion. Matt has also collected 26 wins in NASCAR’s Nationwide series, along with 16 poles in his 248 races in the series.
In 2013, Kenseth transitioned to Joe Gibbs Racing as the driver of the No. 20 Dollar General/Husky Toyota Camry. Kenseth is paired with crew chief Jason Ratcliff as the pair looks to put the No. 20 at the top of the class and a team to be reckoned with every week on the track.
