Matt McGorry is best known for his role of “John Bennett” on the hit Netflix series "Orange is the New Black". He portrayed the character for the first three seasons of the series. He earned a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He also starred on the drama "How to get Away With Murder".

McGorry starred in How He Fell In Love which was an Official Selection for the LA Film Festival 2015.

McGorry is a passionate advocate for women’s equal rights. After reading Sheryl Sandberg's book "Lean In" and listening to Emma Watson's speech at the United Nations HeForShe campaign, McGorry decided he was a feminist. He has been a strong supporter of the "It's On Us" campaign and invites all genders to do their part in shifting the culture.

McGorry is a regular global traveler, and is an expert in physical fitness, having been a certified trainer. McGorry is also well known for his humorous social media presence and carries an incredibly engaged audience.
