Matt Muenster received his degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and practiced design professionally for almost 10 years before a chance phone call sent his career in a somewhat different direction. A local producer looking for a designer to host a new renovation show opened the door to a whole new way for Matt to bring design to the world.

Muenster is best known for his work over the past decade, hosting shows on HGTV and DIY Network. His resume includes over 240 episodes, including "Ellen’s Design Challenge," "HGTV Dream Home 2015," and "Blog Cabin." His passion for design and storytelling continues to drive him. He utilizes his influence and brand to engage followers through his high-energy and authentic on-camera persona.

As a licensed contractor, Muenster sees every house project, whether he’s ripping apart dated bathrooms using the latest construction technology or completely gutting his own kitchen, as a chance to use his clever ideas to achieve great design while integrating earth-friendly elements. He initially got his feet wet designing restaurants and casinos and even worked on the Angolan Project in Africa. Eventually, his fervor for design shifted to the residential sector. His professional experience includes high-end interior design, and he gets an adrenaline rush every time he transforms a boring bathroom into a fantastic one on DIY Network’s "Bath Crashers" and "BATHtastic!" series.
