Matt Vasey is responsible for AI Business Development globally at Microsoft working to build out the ecosystem of technology partners, standards bodies, and other innovation catalysts that are required for the next generation of AI and Mixed Reality solutions, services, and systems. Vasey speaks to audiences about topics ranging from AI to the Internet of Things.

An active officer and board member for industry organizations and standards bodies he currently serves on the board of the OPC Foundation, Industrial Internet Consortium’s Steering Committee, and the Association for Advancement of Automation’s AI board of advisors. Previously he served as Chairman of the OpenFog Consortium leading its merger with the IIC.

Outside of Microsoft, Vasey has led regional and international teams driving revenue and business expansion ranging from startups to Fortune 100 technology companies.

Vasey holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Trent University in Canada.
