Matthew S. Collier    

CEO of VetAccel, Inc

Originally from Michigan, Matt Collier served as an Airborne-Ranger Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, held major elective public office, and has worked in the private sector for over 23 years. Collier holds degrees from West Point and Harvard University.

In 1987, Collier was elected as the youngest big city “strong” mayor in the United States (Flint, MI). Following his four-year stint as Flint's Chief Executive, Mr. Collier served in executive roles with several technology companies, including over 13 years of President & CEO experience, and company ownership.

From 2015 to 2017, Collier served as Senior Advisor to Secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, he spearheaded the Department’s strategy for public-private partnerships to better address and support the needs of Veterans.

He is currently Founder and CEO of VetAccel Inc; Chief Strategy Advisor for OutcomeMD; Senior Advisor with Fieldstone Equity Partners; Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of One World, a non-profit youth leadership and character development organization based in New York; serves as Vice President on the Board of the Boston-based Concussion Legacy Foundation; and is a member of the National Association of Veterans' Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) board based in Washington, DC.

An accomplished speaker, Collier has delivered keynote addresses at dozens of events and conferences around the world; as well as serving as a guest lecturer on effective leadership at numerous educational institutions in the US, including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, the University of Michigan (Flint), Pepperdine University, and at Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Flint.

Collier currently resides in Washington, D.C.
