Maureen West is an independent genealogical researcher who specialises in English, Irish, and New Zealand research. She has a particular interest in the history of prisoners of war during the Second World War.

Maureen has spoken on many genealogy topics over the past sixteen years, including teaching throughout New Zealand for the Genealogical Research Institute of New Zealand (GRINZ), and presenting workshops for the New Zealand Society of Genealogists and Victoria University of Wellington.
