Max Porter’s is an award winning author. His latest book, "Lanny," is on the Booker Prize longlist. It is the leading literary award in the English speaking world, which has brought recognition, reward and readership to outstanding fiction for over 50 years. It is awarded annually to the best novel of the year written in English and published in the UK or Ireland.

His first novel, "Grief Is the Thing with Feathers" won the Sunday Times/Peter, Fraser + Dunlop Young Writer of the Year, the International Dylan Thomas Prize, the Europese Literatuurprijs and the BAMB Readers’ Award and was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Goldsmiths Prize.

Complicité and Wayward’s production of "Grief Is the Thing with Feathers" directed by Enda Walsh and starring Cillian Murphy opened in Dublin in March 2018. Porter lives in Bath with his family.
