Award-Winning Interior Designer; Winner of Season 6 of HGTV's "Design Star"

Meg Caswell was the winning contestant on Season 6 of "Design Star," the interior design reality competition series on HGTV.

Meg began her career in design the moment she decided not to attend law school. After she earned a degree in criminology, she soon enrolled at The Art Institute of Chicago, where she completed her B.F.A. in interior architecture. She began her design career with Ralph Lauren Home but quickly set out on her own, launching her Design Shoppe in a well known Chicago neighborhood.

She has gone on to host her own show, Meg’s Great Rooms and has starred in specials including “America's Best Kept Secrets,” “HGTV Home Makeover” and “America's Most Embarrassing Living Room.” Meg is also a regular on local Chicago and national television talk shows, including ABC’s Windy City Live, NBC’s Open House, Fox News and Good Day L.A. and has been featured in national ad campaigns for both Lowe's and Big Lots.

From designing a single room to multi-million dollar homes, Meg is comfortable working within any budget. A self-described determined, direct and high-energy personality, her design style boasts a preppy mix of modern and traditional looks executed in vibrant colors. With her background in criminology, Meg is an expert at uncovering and solving Design Crimes.

Meg and her unique approach to interior design can be found traveling the country for appearances and design clients as well as at home in her Wilmington, NC store, Fifth and Castle. Meg is a seasoned public speaker in all venues including television, radio and a variety of live events. She is a regular contributor to HGTV as well as NBC, ABC, Fox News and others.
