Senior Attorney at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Megan Lynn Isenhower Frampton is the Senior Attorney with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her clients include the foundation’s global policy & advocacy operations in China and Africa, the Africa Communications team, Human Resources and the Global Facilities, Events & Travel team. Megan previously supported the foundation’s U.S. programs for a period in 2013, and also has supported various other operations groups at the foundation such as the COO’s office, Global Security and Global Digital Technology.

Prior to working at the foundation, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel for Univar, a global chemical distribution company. At Univar, Megan advised senior management and field employees in the U.S., Asia, Australia and Latin America on commercial, antitrust, operations, compliance, marketing, communications and intellectual property matters. Additionally, she counseled operations on regulatory matters and product liability issues, served as global privacy counsel, and managed the company’s global intellectual property portfolio. Before Univar, Megan was with the law firm Eisenhower & Carlson, PLLC, where she counseled clients on corporate governance, real and personal property purchases and sales, commercial, employment and intellectual property matters.

Megan began her legal career as Assistant General Counsel for Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc., and its successor, Public Storage Inc. As AGC, she advised leadership and business on operations, employment, marketing and communications, and intellectual property matters as well as she managed all corporate litigation, including multiple class action lawsuits.

Outside of work, Megan is a sustaining member of the Jr. League of Seattle, and is a former President of the JLS, Seattle’s premier women’s leadership training and volunteer organization. She also has volunteered with Gonzaga University’s Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program for over 20 years, including serving as the Seattle GAMP chair. In January 2017, Gonzaga University awarded Megan its Jim Day Alumni Mentor award for her “extraordinary dedication to helping students and alumni achieve professional success.” Megan also serves Gonzaga as a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Advisory Board.

Megan has her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, a Master’s of International Management (international M.B.A.) from Thunderbird School of Global Management (formerly known as the American Graduate School of International Management), and her Bachelor’s from Gonzaga University. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional. Megan is married to Brian Frampton and they have a daughter, Keylee.
