Megan Roup

Fitness Instructor, Dancer and Founder & CEO of The Sculpt Society

Megan Roup has been passionate about dance her entire life. She moved to New York City by way of Santa Barbara, California to attend the Dance Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Post-graduation she lived and worked in New York City as a dancer which led her to a dream-job working for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets Dance Team. Roup was always hustling in the city- juggling her career with the Nets, teaching fitness classes and working in fashion. She quickly fell in love with teaching and the connections and impact she was having on other women and knew it was something she wanted to do forever.

Roup knew that there was something missing from the boutique fitness community, so she combined her passion for dance and love for fitness to create The Sculpt Society. She spent years teaching fitness and developing The Sculpt Society method before launching in 2017. Roup wanted to create a program that would help women reach their goals and would still be fun. Her mission with The Sculpt Society workout app is to empower women through movement, to stand in their bodies with confidence and strength, and to feel their best self.

As someone who struggled with body confidence in her early twenties, Roup understands what most women have felt at some point in their life. She can relate to knowing what it feels like to be uncomfortable in your own body, overwhelmed, unmotivated or a bit lost when it comes to working out. After years of torturing herself in the gym, it wasn't until she found dance-based fitness that things shifted. She truly began to gain a sense of strength and freedom within herself, and she was finally having FUN working out.
