Megan Pete, known by her stage name, Megan Thee Stallion, is a prolific rapper, singer, and songwriter from Houston, Texas. She is known for her 2019 single “Hot Girl Summer,” a term which she officially trademarked and became a viral catchphrase on social media. Megan Thee Stallion signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018, where she released the mixtape "Fever" in 2019, the extended play "Suga" in 2020, and her debut studio album, "Good News" in late 2020.

Her single "Savage (Remix)" featuring Beyoncé and her feature on Cardi B's single "WAP" were her first and second number ones on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, with the latter providing Megan with her first number one in several other countries. She has also collaborated with artists like Normani, Young Thug, and Ariana Grande. In 2021, Megan Thee Stallion graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in health administration, demonstrating her commitment to education alongside her successful music career.

Throughout her career, Pete has received several accolades, including six BET Awards, five BET Hip Hop Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, a Billboard Women in Music Award, and three Grammy Awards. At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, she became the second female rapper to win Best New Artist, after Lauryn Hill in 1999. In addition to her music career, she has used her platform to support charitable causes, including a scholarship fund, relief efforts in Houston, and her own Pete and Thomas Foundation. In 2020, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world on their annual list.

More recently, Megan Thee Stallion revealed her acting skills in the Larry Charles-directed A24 musical film, "Dicks: The Musical," in which she co-starred alongside Nathan Lane, Bowen Yang, and Megan Mullally. Despite the demands of her music and acting career, she has continued her philanthropic work, such as her partnership with Cash App, through which she created "Investing for Hotties" educational videos and donated $1 million worth of stock to randomly selected fans. She is also known for her collaborations with renowned brands such as Nike, Popeyes and Cheetos, and has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix.
