Melicia Whitt Glover        

President & CEO, Gramercy Research Group; Executive Director at Council on Black Health

Dr. Melicia Whitt-Glover is the President and CEO of Gramercy Research Group and also the Executive Director for the Council on Black Health. With her leadership, she has been involved in numerous research and evaluation projects geared towards promoting adherence to national health guidelines, which have been funded by esteemed institutions such as the National Institutes of Health and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Over the years, Whitt-Glover has demonstrated a strong commitment to health disparity research and community-based health interventions. She was a respected member of the 2018 Physical Activity Guidelines Advisory Committee and is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. Moreover, Whitt-Glover's research interests, which include obesity prevention, physical activity behavior change programs, and minority health disparities, have played a crucial role in her work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Healthcare Management at Winston-Salem State University. Ultimately, her goal is to make a tangible difference in people's lives through research, a mission she continues to pursue with passion and dedication.

Whitt-Glover began her professional journey at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology. Furthering her education, she pursued a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of South Carolina. With this solid foundation, Whitt-Glover extended her expertise in physical health and epidemiology through a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. This combination of education and training paved the way for Whitt-Glover's significant contributions to the field of public health.
