Melissa Villaseñor
Stand-Up Comedian, Actress & Impressionist; Former Cast Member on "Saturday Night Live"
Melissa Villaseñor is a comedian and actress who gained wider recognition when she joined the cast of the NBC sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live" in 2016. She broke barriers by becoming the first-ever Latina cast member of the show, and after six successful seasons, she left at the end of the 47th season in 2022. Villaseñor has also appeared in films such as "The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It," "Laid in America," "Ralph Breaks the Internet," "Toy Story 4," and "Hubie Halloween," and has voiced characters for Cartoon Network’s "OK K.O.!," Fox’s "American Dad," and "Family Guy." She has also done voice work for animated shows like "Adventure Time" and "TripTank."
Among her other notable roles, Villaseñor has voiced Robin in the radio drama podcast "Batman: The Audio Adventures," and will voice Nellie Ramírez-Humphrey in the upcoming show, "Primos." She has performed impressions of various celebrities and describes herself as a comedian and impressionist. In addition, she has made her mark in the music scene, releasing her debut album, "Dreamer," in October 2019, and singles such as "California" in June 2021. Her acting work extends to television, with appearances in the TV special "Candy" as Candy, the TV series "Night Court" as Gabby, and as a judge in the TV series "Is It Cake?" She is also set to voice the characters Akna in "Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight" and Pencil in "Rock Paper Scissors."
Villaseñor started her career as a semifinalist on “America’s Got Talent” and has continued to tour internationally, headlining stand-up comedy clubs and theaters for the past 10 years. She has hosted the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards and has been named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and Rolling Stone's 50 Funniest People Right Now in 2017.
