Melissa Villaseñor

Stand-Up Comedian, Actress & Impressionist; Cast Member on "Saturday Night Live"

Melissa Villaseñor is a comedian and impressionist on Saturday Night Live. Villaseñor was introduced as a featured player in 2016, alongside Mikey Day and Alex Moffat. Villaseñor is the second Latina cast member in SNL history, after Noel Wells. She was promoted to the cast of repertory players in 2019, becoming the first Latina to be promoted to that position.

Prior to becoming a full-time comedian, she worked as a cashier in a retail store in Prairie Ridge, Washington. After her 2011 appearance on America's Got Talent's regional Seattle showcase, Villaseñor returned to California, and performed in two one-woman shows in Hollywood.

She has also done voice work for the animated shows Adventure Time, Family Guy and TripTank, as well as being a semifinalist in season 6 of America's Got Talent and appearing on an episode of First Impressions. She is a member of Broadway Video's digital studio Más Mejor, which spotlights Latino comedians.

In 2018, Villaseñor appeared on the second season of HBO's Crashing. In 2019, she replaced Mindy Kaling as the voice of Taffyta Muttonfudge in Ralph Breaks the Internet. That same year, she was the featured comedian in the popular series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Villaseñor also makes visual art and released her debut album Dreamer in October 2019.
