Merle Chambers is founder and president of Chambers Family Fund. She founded and operated an oil and gas company and is the first and only woman inducted into the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Hall of Fame. Chambers created the Chambers Family Fund to provide philanthropic support for the early care and education of children, women’s economic self-sufficiency, and justice, equality, and opportunity with a focus on advocacy and public policy. To expand women’s philanthropy and funding for women and girls, Chambers established women’s funds in the states where her oil and gas company operated. She is actively involved in civic, cultural, and philanthropic affairs in Colorado.
