When he speaks on leadership, ethics, and communication, Dr. Mike Armour draws on a lifetime of experience in demanding leadership roles. For decades he has been the "go-to" man for organizations needing to turn around or get back on track. In these difficult circumstances he has been especially effective at building teams with high levels of trust, and today he speaks regularly on themes captured in his latest book, Leadership and the Power of Trust.

Mike has been a Navy captain, a university dean, a college president, a Congressional candidate, a coach and confidant to leading executives, a business owner, and an international specialist in ethics. Along the way he has also led a variety of faith-based institutions, managed major political campaigns, founded a private school, and headed multi-million dollar fund-raising drives.

Drawing on three degrees in history and his lengthy Navy career, Mike speaks frequently on patriotic themes for groups who want an inspiring speaker.

Today Mike is president of Strategic Leadership Development International. His clients have included companies like American Standard, Bell Helicopter, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, FritoLay, Nortel, Raytheon, TXU Electric Delivery, and UBS Wealth Management.

He is an award-winning author in the field of leadership and has been published in a dozen languages around the world. In addition he works with educators and top government officials in Russia and Ukraine to bring training in ethics and character into their schools and universities. He has personally trained hundreds of Russian teachers in the skills of character bulding.

Mike earned his Ph.D. from UCLA, and holds additional degrees from four other colleges and universities. He has also done graduate work in strategic planning at the Naval War College.
