Mike Culver is the Chief of Staff of the Global Impact Institute (Gii) and serves as an adviser to the Phoenix Project in Haiti and VVC Exploration Company (VVC on TSX). Prior to Gii, Mike worked with the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Mike was also the Director of External Affairs for MetroLacrosse, a non-profit, sports-based youth development organization committed to using Lacrosse as a platform to educate underserved urban youth about health and wellness. Mike began his career in Washington, DC with the BGR Group, a government affairs firm that represents a broad range of domestic and international clients. From 2006 – 2008 Mike worked for the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse as a player and Assistant General Manager. He received the 2006 MLL New Balance Sportsman of the Year Award and played for one season with the Long Island Lizards in 2010. Mike received a BA from the University of Virginia, and led National Championship teams in lacrosse in both 2003 and 2006.
