On a peaceful summer morning in the mountains around Grand Teton National Park, Michael Dunn, a runner who was training for a marathon, was suddenly surprised and attacked by one of the fiercest predators known to man a grizzly bear. In the vicious mauling which ensued, Dunn was clawed, bitten, and pounced on by the full size bear.

Miraculously, Michael Dunn survived the first ever bear attack in the 60 year history of Grand Teton National Park. And now, he has gone on to share his incredible story with national television audiences on such programs as ABC's Prime Time Live, The Leeza Gibbons Show, and Inside Edition. He has also been a popular featured speaker at national conventions and corporate meetings, and has even written a forthcoming book entitled, Bears to Cross.

This is one man's story of survival. But it is much more. Using a gripping first hand account of the attack, Michael Dunn skillfully weaves drama, lessons for life, and liberal amounts of humor in telling the story of his will to live of how he found the determination to not just come back from his devastating, life threatening injuries, but to push himself to realize his dream of qualifying for and then finishing the prestigious Boston Marathon.

Some of the themes addressed in this lively, one hour presentation are: sharpening instinctual skills, the importance of rules, working through obstacles, realizing goals, and overcoming fears.
