Michal Lev-Ram is a senior writer at Fortune, where she has been on staff since 2010. Based in Silicon Valley, she covers the technology sector for Fortune. She is also co-chair of MPW Next Gen, an extension of the Most Powerful Women community convening the preeminent rising-star women leaders in business, government, philanthropy, education, and the arts, and of Brainstorm TECH, Fortune’s annual technology conference.

Previously, Lev-Ram worked at Business 2.0 and had been a frequent contributor to CNNMoney, Popular Science, and Fast Company. Her outstanding reporting contributed to Fortune winning a SABEW Best in Business Award for its technology coverage in 2012.

She holds a degree in journalism from San Francisco State University, and she lives in Palo Alto with her husband and two daughters.
