Weekend Host of "All Things Considered" & Former Host of "Tell Me More"

Emmy-winning journalist Michel Martin is the weekend host of NPR’s "All Things Considered" and has served as the fourth anchor on the Morning Edition team since March 2023. Formerly, Martin was the host of "Tell Me More" and is a regular contributor for PBS’s "Amanpour & Company." Her extensive career includes her work with ABC News, Nightline, and her role as a White House correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. Martin's reporting has covered a broad range of topics, focusing on matters of race, religion, and spirituality.

Martin's work in journalism has been recognized by various organizations. She has received the Candace Award for Communications from The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Joan Barone Award for Excellence in Washington-based National Affairs/Public Policy Broadcasting from the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association, and a 2002 Silver Gavel Award granted by the American Bar Association. Martin has also received an Emmy Award, with three additional nominations to her name. In 2019, she was elected into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences for outstanding achievement in journalism.

Martin is a cum laude graduate of Radcliffe College at Harvard University and holds a Master of Arts from the Wesley Theological Seminary.
