Michele Wood, improving children's literacy is an Author, Illustrator, Aspiring Film Producer, Conceptualist Creator, Theology and Creative Lecturer. Hornbook Magazine May/June issue 2019 published her first essay. Wood’s first book won an American Book Award Before the Columbus Foundation. Her second book I See the Rhythm won the Coretta Scott King Illustration award and translated to Japanese 2018. In 2016, she was nominated for an Honor at the 47th NAACP Image Award.

Wood is the Conceptualist and Illustrator for the book , I See the Rhythm,( Where I hold the Subsidiary WorldWide rights for film, television, radio, audio, drama and more to I See the Rhythm.), I See the Rhythm of the Gospel, Going Back Home, Like A Bird: the Art of American Slave Song children’s book. With a Master degree in Divinity, she now executes Theological knowledge application to her books, documentary film and plays to come, in order to further guide audiences into a richer based art, and text.
