Born in New Jersey to Caribbean parents, comedian, host, and performer Michelle Buteau brings a cheeky swagger, unique perspective, and big personality to stage and screen.

She has been seen in "Always Be My Maybe" alongside Ali Wong and Randall Park, "Isn't It Romantic?," a star-studded comedy, and "Enlisted," a comedy TV series. As a comedian, Buteau has toured the country performing at colleges, clubs and comedy festivals. Her television stand-up appearances include "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," "Lopez Tonight," and "Last Comic Standing." As well as playing Private Robinson on FOX's critically acclaimed series "Enlisted," Buteau is also known as 'The Crazy Girlfriend' on Comedy Central's "Key & Peele" and Adult Swim's "The Eric Andre Show."

She was also featured in Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and Paramount Comedy Network's "The World Stands Up" show. She was a favorite at the Bumbershoot Arts Festival, and HGTV's "25 Worst Mistakes" series can't get enough of her. Buteau has also shared more then her opinions on MTV's "Walk of Shame," and the Oxygen Network's "Kiss & Tell" series.

In 2020, Buteau published her first book, a collection of personal essays entitled "Survival of the Thickest." Buteau was also nominated for a 2021 Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Comedy Special for "Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupia."
